In this update, rubric free-form comments have been updated to work more effectively. In the student mobile app a search feature has been added to files; and in the teacher app, the content editor now allows tutors to select files previously uploaded.

Rubric Free-form comments
When a comment was saved for reuse in free-form comments, the saved comment would not display in the comment menu until the page was refreshed. Canvas code has been updated to retain all saved comments for reuse in SpeedGrader.

Search Files
Course Files and User Files support searching files. Search results require at least three characters for matching files to display. Search results do not include file folders.

User File Attachment
The Rich Content Editor supports attaching files from User Files. To select a file from User Files, tap the Image icon in the Rich Content Editor and select the My Files option.

Allow Users to Comment
Announcements supports allowing users to comment on course announcements. As part of this update, the Users must post before seeing replies. This option can only be managed if the Allow users to comment option is enabled.
Copying File Links
Files supports copying links to course and user files.
Rich Content Editor – Insert Device Images
The Rich Content Editor supports inserting an image by taking a photo or selecting an image from your device. These options replace inserting an image by pasting a link.
DocViewer – Delete Annotations from Other Users
DocViewer supports deleting annotations and comments made by other users. In order to delete an annotation or comment, a user must have the appropriate permissions
