Canvas, LJMU’s new VLE, will be available from 1st August, 2017. The current Blackboard system is also due to change, at the end of June. The part of the system where the ePortfolio is located, will no longer be available-your Tutor is aware of this and may have already told you about it. If you have an ePortfolio or any portfolio content that you wish to retain, you will need to download it before 30th June.
If you wish to download any assignment submissions, from Blackboard, you should also try to do this before 30th June.
Blackboard modules will be retained in order that some current Level 6 and Level 7 students, who are due to complete their programme of study in late 2017/early 2018, can do so in Blackboard, with minimal disruption. Your Tutor will be able to advise you about this.
We will continue to communicate information about the transition to Canvas throughout the Summer, via the LJMU website and social media. Student Canvas champions have also been appointed and they will be actively supporting you throughout this process.
