Canvas is updated every month, these normally include background changes or minor amendments to ensure the system works as effectively as possible. But this month the good people over at Canvas have developed some interesting new features:

Feedback Library
A new Feedback Library has been developed in speedgrader allowing you to create and save frequently used comments which can be reused across multiple students, assignments and courses.
When tutors access SpeedGrader, the comments box includes a Feedback icon that opens the Comment Library. Comments can be entered in the ‘Add Comment to Library’ text field and added to the comment library.
Comments added to the Library can be edited or deleted from the library at any time.
Comments can be added directly from the Comment Library by opening the library and clicking the comment that should be added. The library will close and the comment will display in SpeedGrader.
Alternatively enable the ‘Show Suggestions when Typing’ option. Once enabled you can add comments from your bank directly into the Speedgrader comments block by typing a short segment of your comment. A list will then appear with similar matches which you can select and add. Only one item from the library can be added per Speedgrader comment.
Comments are saved for each individual tutor regardless of course, so comments saved in one course will also display when you access SpeedGrader in another course.
Release Notes
This change helps identify when new features are available in Canvas. The Canvas Help Menu displays an indicator when release notes have been published. Notes display a summary of new features and provides a link to where you can view more details. The Help Menu always displays the last 10 release notes, helping you keep up to date with Canvas enhancements.
