The Teaching and Learning Academy are pleased to announce that Zoom is now available for Teaching and Learning.

You can now use Zoom via your Canvas course, the integration allows you to easily schedule sessions with your students. Please see the following guidance on how to access Zoom in Canvas.

In order to ensure that students can access your Zoom sessions correctly, please schedule meetings via the Zoom section of your Canvas course.

Best practice recommends setting up a test session with all students to make sure everyone can access before teaching commences.

If you have a personal Zoom account using your LJMU email, you will have the opportunity to change the email address. associated with your existing account. You will then be provisioned with your LJMU account. Please note that LJMU email addresses must be associated with the LJMU account.

How can I check my account is ready for teaching with Zoom?

We are really excited about the institutional adoption of Zoom to support teaching and learning. We want to make sure you are all ready to start using this tool via Canvas.

If you are intending to deliver teaching via Zoom in Canvas in the coming year, please check you have successfully joined the LJMU Zoom account by ensuring you can access the Zoom section of your Canvas course.
